Dr. Rucha Patel, DPT
“Fortunately (or unfortunately), when I see a person, I see bones and muscles. With the training I’ve received and with practice over the last 13 years, I immediately look for dysfunction and its related causes. My goal is to get to the bottom of a person’s pain and symptoms – I want to be the last physical therapist they see. The core, pelvic floor and its adjoining segments is my recipe to treat a dysfunction to reach the client’s goals. My motto is: It’s all connected!”
- Marquette University – BS Exercise Physiology – 2003
- Marquette University – Doctor of Physical Therapy – 2006
Women’s health, pre and post-partum care, pelvic floor, sexual dysfunction/pain, bowel/ bladder, Cupping, Headaches, CranioSacral, chronic pain, back pain, vertigo, myofascial pain, TMJ, neck pain, shoulders, hip, whole body!
Professional and Personal Interests
While the first half of Dr. Patel’s PT career started in orthopedics, women’s health, post-operative therapy, vestibular and chronic pain, her second half, post kids is focused to pre and post pregnancy, Women’s pelvic floor, sexual pain, bowel/bladder and CranioSacral along with cupping therapy. She has seen the body from all angles having done post-operative home health. Women’s health has always been of special interest to Dr. Patel since her days of training. It has been able to come full circle from general orthopedics to focused care on treating the low back and hips to core and pelvic floor.
By treating the body as a whole, its structures, bones, muscles, connective tissue, and organs – by peeling back every layer, getting deeper to the root cause, I can treat the core, pelvis, low back and all the connecting limbs as a whole functioning unit. As they are meant to be.
Dr. Patel is enthusiastic to work with patients and come up with a treatment plan to reach goals for maximum function. In her spare time, Dr. Patel leads an active lifestyle; you’ll find her at the gym and has been a yoga enthusiast for almost 20 years.
